If I went to a bbq and all the filet mignon was gone, and all that was left was hamburger and I was hungry I would eat the hamburger, you take what's available even if it's not your first choice.
This explains a lot... I hate steak, I have always chosen the burger first.
But, no, I would never "settle" for an unsuitable man/relationship. It amazes me how many people are willing to do that. I'd much, much rather be alone.

I settled with someone unsuitable once. I was 18, and never dated before then. I wasn't attracted to her, and had virtually nothing in common with her. So it was a rash, desperation-induced decision, compounded by a scarcity mentality. Something good came out of it, though: I finally experienced a relationship, albeit a very unfun one, and got my first kiss.
If I could go back in time, would I do it again, knowing what I know now? Absolutely not!
