I just skimmed the Rochester MSA demographics. Looks like old middle class people and younger, much poorer, and lower educated everybody else. Typical post-industrial city flyover country demographics. The top 10% to 20% of every high school graduating class graduates from college and vanishes. If you want a long term relationship with your socioeconomic equal, it's pretty slim pickings there for 20-something women.
And you're 29. You want to be dating women, not girls. 29 year old women have an education, a career, and are looking for a guy with their same life goals. Figure out where you want to move to.
I'm always a bit perplexed at these claims that all women are single moms by a certain age...doesn't that mean that there should be quite a few single fathers out there as well? Unless these women were artificially inseminated, procreating is not restricted to one gender.
As you probably have noticed here, "single mom" is a pejorative term, while single fathers are generally lauded as noble martyrs.
Relocate where? I have never lived in NYC or another big city so I don't know if there are actually more single women there, I just heard stories. I would hate to spend thousands and move to a new city to find things are the same.
Well, why didn't you say you wanted relocation advice? That's what this website is all about!
NYC. Boston. Any major west coast city, but also: Santa Cruz, CA, if you like smaller towns (beach! Redwood forests! And it's a university town!). Ignore rumors that some of the West Coast urban areas are "sauagefests". There are plenty of single women there, too, looking for relationships. In some of those urban areas (Seattle, for ex.), the men are so reserved or awkward, that all it takes to gain the attention of a fair lass is to be friendly, and chat her up. You do have to be able to manage at least that much, just saying. No point in relocating, if you can't muster the wherewithal to actually *speak* to the opposite sex.

No one said that there was a one-to-one correspondence between single mothers and single fathers. (Read: many kids were fathered by a small number of men, resulting in fewer single dads than single moms.)

There is more single moms than dads because there's more men procreating with multiple women than vice versa.

I'm not 29 I'm 27. It baffles me the number of people who didn't seem to even read my post fully.

OP, Geoff did a good bit of research to help you out, and to get a better idea of your situation. What baffles me are OP's on this forum who take offense at people sincerely trying to help.
Oh well. Good luck with yourself. Not much point in continuing this charade of an advice request. :/

I appreciate the research he did. I don't like the people that barely read my post and came here to troll or attack me.
