Is this a good idea, or a bad one? I haven't gone canoeing for 20 years, but I remember enjoying it. Figured two people, a canoe, maybe a picnic lunch or a trip to a nearby fast food place (I wonder if that ice cream shop is still open?)

Opinions?

Assuming your date likes canoeing it sounds great. Stay off the white water tho.

sounds like a great idea if you are both into it

better than the usual drink or coffee interview style dates

My husband and I just went canoeing for a "date". It was really, really fun. We were on a lazy river, early on a Saturday morning. The water was beautiful and no one else was on the river. Very romantic even early in the morning. I say, great idea if the girl is into the outdoors at all.
