First of all, get a vasectomy if you are tired of wearing a condom! It's done in a doctor's office, no big deal. My father had one, so did my ex, and my boyfriend.
I honestly think that your wife has suffered some sort of sexual abuse. The fact that she doesn't face you while you are pleasing her is a red flag. Does she close her eyes when she faces you and you do your business? She may not even remember the abuse, or has blocked it out.
I think that she needs some serious counseling. It's just not normal, the way she is acting.
I do think that a healthy sex life is important to a marriage, unless both parties aren't interested!

You need to be communicating. Who knows what is going on for her? We don't. You don't and you're her husband. It sounds so sad and lonely and unsatisfying. I'm kind of surprised you still bother initiating sex given the lack of connection, closeness and pleasure. I think this is a very important issue and one that needs to be addressed. Good luck.
