I believe it's a sign of slightly more testosterone, at least in some people. People are always talking about signs of estrogen in women making them more attractive (body shape), but slightly higher testosterone makes for a higher sex drive, and in women it can mean orgasming more easily. This is partly why oral contraceptives with estrogen can kill libido. Obviously, excess testosterone or estrogen is not a good thing.
