You know, I think I have a high chance of being alone. It sucks being a loner, I mean is a little bit of contact and compassion too much to ask?

MoNative: I didn't mean to give offense, and I didn't take any. I'm just saying...

Your advice was decent.

Don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself. I'm a loner too but a happy one. If you were (a LOT) older, I'd invite you up to the Verde Valley and partay with you!

Unfortunately, for you, I would probably lecture you about how self defeating your attitude is.

Maybe I'm just bitter because my long term bf doesn't care, but I hate Valentine's Day. It's pointless and only further pisses me off when everyone else is getting flowers and love notes but me. lol

Even some coupled folks don't give a hoot about it.

I used to know a guy who had a florist shop. His wife never got roses on V-day because he couldn't stand looking at them by the time February 14 was over. He'd wait a week or so and then take her to dinner and a show in New York City.

I think I've already commented on Valentines Day on other threads. I don't really get into the Valentines Day lovey-dovey stuff. A card is nice...but more than that is probably not going to matter much to me one way or the other. So if I am by myself, it's no big deal. I will be with family this Valentines Day...my BF will be 7 hours away. I think we'll both survive just fine.

Thank God there are still romantic people, like us, in our society!!
Because YOU enjoy V-Day and I don't makes me non-romantic???

Sorry, but a day deemed a holiday by some man-made idea that says I HAVE to be romantic on THIS PARTICULAR DAY doesn't scream "romance" to me. I don't NEED a day set aside for me to tell me that I have to be "romantic". You don't know what I'm like or how romantic I am the other 364 days of the year.
