Not everybody purchases an expensive car because they want to show off. For the same reason why you like your Pilot, others may like their DBS V12.

I'm not like that at all. If a guy drives an expensive car because he can afford it - great (doesn't say ANYTHING about the guy though). But there is nothing dumber than a guy who drives an expensive car he can't afford. That, to me, just means he's overcompensating for something .

I personally don't care about the car. I've never dated anyone with a very very old car, but that's just because I've always dated guys with a job that would allow them to drive a decent car. Again, NOT an expensive car, but not a 10 year-old car either. I also don't care what kind of car I drive as long as it's not too old and needs a lot of work done.

One thing I HAVE noticed about myself though is that I have never dated and never pay attention to guys in pick-up trucks. I just kinda have an idea of what kind of a guy would drive a pick-up truck (that's NOT supposed to be an insult - there is nothing wrong with pick-up trucks or guys who drive them), and I just don't think our personalities would match. There are exceptions though, I am sure.

I like nice cars and some of the nicest cars tend to be expensive. I'm not interested in what a man drives and it's a big turn off if he even brings it up unless asked. I drive an expensive car because I like it and it's kinda sad if people make that big of a deal about it. It's just a car.

I dont care what any woman says, women do care about money. I know I do to a certain extent. No woman wants a man who is broke.

I think people in general tend to admire expensive cars. I too, like expensive cars, but not extremely small or large ones. Whoever I date, I would prefer for them to have a vehicle that isn't unsafe, and isn't a gas guggler. A high price tag on it would be a plus.

to be fair its not a girl thing.
its an american thing. put on a suit and drive a 50,000 dollar car and you wont believe what happens next. even the behavior of those closest to you changes.
americans respect wealth, very strange.

It doesn't have to necessarily be expensive to be cool. Take a '65 Ford Thunderbird 390 CI V-8 for example. That is a pretty affordable very cool ride. I have seen some pretty nice ones sell for between 5K-8K. You can't hardly buy a turd cookie cutter for that! It's all in the knowledge and what to look for guys! http://www.cargurus.com/images/2007/.../pic-2747.jpeg
