I know most people are going to be Christian or Atheist, but I want to know what religion all of you believe in. What are your personal beliefs? Not what others think, or some book says, what do you think?

All opinions are welcome, I would encourage a friendly thread where no body is attacked based on their beliefs. All are welcome here.

Just because we all believe in various forms of religion or non religion does not mean we can't get along.

As a Pagan I chose the "spiritual" category. Paganism is the umbrella under which groups like Wiccans, Druids, ect. fall. We tend to have common beliefs such as a reverance/respect for the natural world, Anamisim(sp?), and acknowledgement of the practice of magick.

I call myself a Heatherist - but since it's my own made up term for myself, I chose agnostic because I think that's the closest option!

Atheism is not a religion, but it is a form of belief in spirituality. Some Christians and Catholics claim to not be the other, so out of respect to that I kept them separate.

If you don't mind, could you explain your belief for me?

It's simple - I believe whatever I believe. My name is Heather so I call msyelf a Heatherist! Basically - I don't know if there is a supreme being or divine force or simply just gases and energy and rocks and such. I believe that we should be the best people we can be - loving, kind, understanding, funny, sympathetic, etc. I don't really believe in an afterlife or anything - but I believe in making the most of the time we do have. Those are my basic beliefs. Some of the things I believe in change from day to day, week to week, year to year. I guess I just take each day as it comes and try to make the best of things! So far, it's worked pretty well for me!

I'm curious why you listed Catholic as a separate choice from Christian. I guess that means you don't consider them to be Christians. I'm also curious why you didn't mention Mormons/LDS at all. I guess you must consider them to be Christians. Interesting.

I recently read this book, "living without God: New Directions for Atheists, Agnostics, Secularists, and the Undecided." Great Book and I suggest it for anyone.
