Because our souls are the first creation of who we are. They are made perfect by God. When a soul leaves the body, it can see perfectly, hear perfectly, taste perfectly, smell perfectly, and etc. The five senses are heightened because the body is made just as it's suppose to be. Perfect. Old people become young again. Mentally ill people become sane again. Disfigured folk have perfect bodies. People who lost limbs gain them gain them back. The soul is the perfect-made entity of who you are. The soul gravitates to wherever it does based on your heart condition of Christ. Whether you accepted him or not. Just as you can feel all the wonderful sensations of heaven, you can feel the same torments in Hell because the five sense are heightened and perfect. That's how a soul can burn.

Hell (darkness) is a place of correction only. Every single person who is there will eventually be in the natural love heavens or the Celestial Heavens. There is no such thing as eternal hell or eternal torment. God did not create the heavens to be that way. If someone were so evil that they could never recover, God would just annhilate them. Hell does not keep people forever. Besides, if Hawkings only sin was not believing in Jesus, he's much better off than most people since Jesus can do nothing for our salvation although what He taught can. In the spirit world, things are much different and God has mercy for everyone. He will still have a chance to enter the Kingdom of God through Divine Love when he dies. This life isn't the end.

Actually Dr Hawkins and his theories on the creation of the universe make a whole lot more sense than judeo/christian mythology. Of course, One does need to have a certain degree of education to understand what the Dr. is saying, and, of course, practically no education is necessary to have an opinion on the bible.

The Edenic challenge or issues raised by Satan aren't related to who is more powerful. Destroying Satan imediately would not have addressed those issues. In short, destroying Satan imediately would have been irelevant and left the issues he raised concerning the motive of God's rulership and mankind's relation to it unanswered. Similar to you being accused of being dishonest and you responding by killing the person. Your drastic irrelevant action would in fact raise suspicions about whether in fact the other person you just responded to by killing him was telling the truth.
One doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to detect when someone is using fallacious reasoning. Such reasoning is very easy to detect. In fact, I taught my preadolescent kids to detect the kind of fallacious reasoning that atheists use. People who can't detect Hawkin and other scientist's BS are actually people who lack basic skills in cogent reasoning. In fact, if you ask them-they probably don't even know what cogent reasoning is.
Such persons are easily duped because they are so over-impressed with educational credentials that they believe anything and everything that a scientist chances to propose. Of course atheistic scientists count on that type of undereducated ignorance and so they pass their defective reasoning off as sound with nary a care in the world. Very sad situation. Fortunately there are those among us who aren't that gullible.
