In proving God to yourself, you don't need religion, people, places or things, you need to be for real with yourself and examine the data for yourself, and be the judge of it yourself, you will need yourself to determine if you can understand something that is far beyond yourself. And if self is ready to do that, then realize that you yourself, are a very proof of God; your very Consciousness is extraordinary evidence of God.
We understand that each kind breeds its own kind. Birds breed birds, rats breeds rats, and elephants produce other elephants. Only Consciousness can breed Consciousness, there is no such thing as consciousness developing on its own from nothing, no such thing. The cycle of Consciousness began from and was bred by consciousness, a conscious creator. Only life can come from life, nothing living can be produced by things dead and inanimate.
Your ability to think and reason, to memorize and articulate, comes from a thing which has simular tendecy, it bred your consciousness. Our Consciousness is the governor of our behavior and a vital key of Gods existence. It is impossible for Consciousness to create itself from things far less than itself.
So as we begin this search for God, know that you yourself are evidence that he is.

What's funny is that really physiology, psychology & spirituality all agree that the process of feelings is within us.
Physiology describe emotions through endocrine & nervous system functions within us.
Psychology describes it as thinking patterns affecting feelings & the motivation of behavior, all within us.
Spirituality describes the process as "the kingdom of God within" us.
This is why all 3 fields are so fascinating & intermingled to me!
Oh yes, and many believers in God, do not believe that Atheism is actual proof of God. Human behavior itself is a proof of God; in other words- " Consciousness is proof of God", we can only be conscious of, those things we are conscious of. Consciousness is the governor of human behavior, and God is the governor of consciousness.
You know, if a person can just get this into their belief system, it will burst wide open a trail to God.

I got news for you bubba...You were born an atheist, as were we all.
Unlike such as yourself, we atheists were just not easily brainwashed, and learned to think our own thoughts. Many of us spent years in one religion or another before we managed to break free of the shackles of the programming we received.
So those of us that have been 'created' atheists will suffer an eternity of torture or separation, (depending on which sect you subscribe to) simply for being what we were made to be??
...what a loving, compassionate and dare I say it 'just' deity you worship.
Excellent point Rafius, which is why I do not believe in eternal punishment, and why I believe in universal Salvation. Why would a loving God, create humanity, expose them to good and evil, keep them in the dark about so much, give them a crash course in suffering, then turn around and condemn them? ABSOLUTELY not!
So God is not after " Now", in humanity what so many think he is. Many believers think he stuck us in this frying pan, and is judging us according to our choices and behavior, while we are " Heated up and cooked by Life!" NO, NO, no!
God is " Schooling humanity, educating us in ALL things, all possible aspects of behavior, all modes of thinking", good and evil; he wants us to KNOW these things,
Because HE knows them, and yet he STILL is as he is, unaffected by all the ways that are not like his!
Yes, except for the fact that god only exists in myths.
I think God wanted humanity exposed to Myths, because he knows he is mythical himself. He knows that we don't understand how he Got he, he knows. He knows how the human mind works, at any level of thinking, he knows; he designed it! He understands how easy it is to believe in him, and how hard it is to believe in him, and is INTERESTED in both modes of consciousness.
He knows what a human consciousness will be like if they were raised to believe from birth, he Knows what it would be like if raised not to believe from birth. He already knows. He knows what a human consciousness would be like if raised in unbelief, then changed to belief, and then changed back to unbelief, he knows. He is interested in all these levels of reality in our experience.
But he willNOT allow any level of human consciousness to deter him from his ultimate plans in eternity- for that human. And so many people are scared to believe this.
Only because god simply doesn't exist, thus it is relegated to myths and fairy tales.
Well he does not exist in your consciousness, as it should be, such is your present lot in conscious life. But if you think that all other human consciousness should be as your is, you are in need of awakening. There should only be a certain amount of Atheist, of believers, and of nuetral people. Its our lot in life, its predestined, its dejavu, its karma, its the rainbow coalition; we all think different.
God exist in my mind, but only because he is supposed to. This has nothing to do with me, it has to do with God " Filling his Quota", he wanted a certain amount of believers to exist in the year 2011, I was simply assigned to fill that slot. My life manipulated to fill it from birth. So it is with Atheism, its a assignment, its as it should be.
Why do Atheist come to this board, long for contact, need a release of inner voice? Why do believers just have to express themselves in this place? Something is in them, prodding them on to do it.
That something is a God ordained thing, it gets ahold of them, because its more powerful than them.
Understanding this, is a proof of God.
