Not when your perception of the world is false. You can call my beliefs fables and myths all you want. At the end of the day, it is still just your opinion. If not, then the burden of proof falls on you to prove it.

Because reality is too hard to face. Few people want to believe that this brief miserable existence is all we get. And religion can make a person believe that they have nothing to live for except a pie on the sky when they die.

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff me boy!

Don't you know yet that the burden of proof falls on those that make the assertion not those that don't buy into the assertion?

All evidence points to no god type entity existing, and no evidence exists it does exist. Just like no evidence existed that Horus, Thor Zeus, or a plethora of other gods existed.

You have no proof. You only have faith.

I am not seeing where the user made that claim or even implied anything of that sort. Can you be more specific? Or did you just put words in their mouth?

You have had the burdeon of proof explained to you multiple times in the past. Yet you still pretend to get it wrong. Why is that?

Incorrect. The burden of proof falls on those who make positive claims.

It may be useful to familiarize yourself with the basic principles of logical thinking.

Anyone with a bit of sense knows that such a law would be a complete waste of time and money. It would never fly in this day and age.

Arizona Senator Sylvia Allen Vilified for Suggesting Law That Would Make Church Attendance on Sundays Mandatory

She did not walk it back until the back lash. She wasted time and money in the mention. It was not said in sarcasm, nor was it satire. The topic of church was in a gun debate on the floor. The gun debate was serious. She wanted to cloud the debate with religion.

The whole "but it would be wrong," is the old Richard Nixon tape ploy. She wanted the church comments in the record.

apples to oranges

The Original Poster is lumping violent acts of Muslims with non-violent acts of Christians.

I fully agree with Robertson but have not heard him say we should become violent.

One should not paint with a broad brush and mix paint colors.

My religion does not believe in gay marriage and believes living a "gay lifestyle" is sinful.

Why should we denounce Robertson ?
