I am not of the conclusion that the Bible is history...until about 1,100BC. I am inclined to the view that archaeology indicates - that Judaism wasn't more than just another Canaanite tribal god -cult until Israel appeared after 1,200 BC
That time period 1500-1000 BC is proving to be quite a busy and interesting era. Thera and the fall of Minoa, the Jews leaving Egypt, the Hittite empire, The Mycenaean hegemony. The Trojan war. The Kingdom of Saul and later David.
Makes me wonder if the Trojans were disciples of Zoroaster and it was for that reason that the Mycenaeans attacked them - for the purpose of religious persecution.
I have often wondered whether the Trojans - assuming that there is some truth in Honer's Illiad - were as Greek as they appeared in Homer. I wonder if they were not a lot more like the contemporary Hittites.

The Jews don't regard it as a history book, just the xtrians...

That's true, too. I was surprised to read that Jewish authorities long since decided that a lot of the older Biblical stories are just metaphor. The Christians of course, know the Torah better.
Because modern human beings have been around for over two hundred thousand years which sticks a fork in the biblical chronology from Adam on. You also have no existence of monotheism before close to the modern era.
