God knew the consequences to the women. Your God used them to punish David.

Your God seems to relish punishment.

Then again, the tale of woman being sexually molested in public is a male sexual fantasy. Men love power over women.

I believe they would have been stoned to death. They would have been blamed for their own rape.

So in your take of this story if the event happened the women would have been punished twice for David's deeds if taken litterally?

Do you think the story may have been meant allegorical as a warning for others?

It hasn't been refuted, though. You have a history of making outlandish statements with no proof. This is an example.

Because YOUR god says:

Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

How hard is that to understand?

See the post to Jeff just above this one.

Proof.

I think the story was a male sexual fantasy, like many others in the bible. Women being raped, and passed around to men. Girls having sex with their father. The belief Sodom and Gomorrah was about men having sex with men. An angry mob of men being offered a man's daughters to rape.

The theme of men controlling women is rampant. It is all about submitting to the will of men, who just happen to know the will of God. Sounds a little too convenient.

How hard is it to understand that this is a manner of speaking that isn't meant to be taken literal? I prove this with other passages in the Bible.

I'm kind of curious why the naysayers never concentrate on "God is love" and "God is working all together for good" and "God will have all mankind to be saved"? Kind of strange to me. It is like being married to a woman who, all she can do is find fault with her husband and just harangues him day after day after day. There has to be a mental deficit for someone to continue doing that.

Again, marginalizing women. Using them as examples for scorn, and derision. Much like the bible you adore.

How do you not see this?
