If religion made sense (genesis, bible, Jacob, evolution)

Can't read your comment, but a reasonable response would probably be that you still wouldn't believe. You've made up your mind, and don't really care about what makes sense.
Assuming all "religion" is the same you just might be right, but knowing that ALL religion is different from the other, you are probably more wrong that you would ever be right?
That seems more of a misunderstanding on your behalf.
And it’s good to have a discussion to understand each other better by explaining what the belief is.
God that I believe in, BY DEFINITION has no beinging and no ending, and THAT’S what makes him God.
You guys keep thinking God as a “creation” and that’s where the problem is.
God creates everything and nothing has created God. And God did not create himself. You cannot create your own self when you don’t exist, that’s ridiculous.
And hence God has been always there - no beginning no end. THIS is what makes him God.
And no, there is no evidence of that - it’s a belief based on faith.
Whether someone takes it or not, is there own call, and I have no bearing over it.
If God is created by something else or if he has a beginning and/or an end then it’s NOT God in my faith.
But how does something always exist? There is no answer to this question, nor any evidence of any kind, yet you have no trouble at all accepting it is true.
I have a similar view of our universe. How did it come to exist? I don't know. This does not trouble me, as I can see for myself that it does exist.

It exists in different or various states.
To Believe God has always existed you must believe you've always existed... and evidently, you have in some state or another because we can see you.
If we always existed (in some state, how could we have been created?) Ah I know. the stuff we are made of, but the individual identity that we recognise did not. That had to come about somehow. How?
This is where this thread seeks to merge with the "Who made everything, then?" thread.
The creator of anything is always greater than the created.
Is an acorn greater than a tree? Is a river greater than an ocean? What you are doing is starting with a Faith -claim and looking around for anything that looks like it supports it. It seems to me that it doesn't. Try again.
