Do you realize that all you guys are doing is making fun of people who are different from you?

Is that what the 'sacred circle' is all about - just a clique for like-minded people to get together and pick on everyone else?

Well, let's see. I shared that most of my friends are Asian (that means I like people who are different from me, and, trust me on this, after 35 years of friendship I'd have figured out if I didn't like them) and a heart-warming story about my father (one of the greatest guys who ever lived) and his ability to make friends wherever he went.

If you're unhappy with the Circle....... no one is making you be a part of it.

Is it that wrong to poke fun at ourselves? I'm not ndn, perhaps my heart is and my sympathies are but my skin and Beard are on a different road. I myself at one time was guilty of the very things we are laughing at.

If one can not laugh at themselves they have lost much humor in life. the Native American humor is based very much at their ability to laugh at them self.

Cheer up and try laughing-- life is not always serious.

From the old Movie "Bird of Paradise"

In your post #4881, you were not laughing at yourself. You were making fun of WASPs for their supposed inability to interact with people from other cultures.

Very immature.

At my age I could use a few regressions to immaturity.

As Red Green, famous Canuck philosopher from Possum Lodge once said, "If you can't stay young, at least you can stay immature."

Actually we were making fun of stereotypes, not people. Unfortunately there are too many people who fulfill the stereotypes.

Hiker45,

In an earlier response to you, I said that your next actions would reveal your true motivation. Based on your last three posts, it appears to me that your true motivation is to provoke argument and antipathy within the Circle.

A public service announcement -- Perhaps we should take the time to remember and reflect upon the role of Coyote, and that of the Sacred Clown.
