I am Jewish, I live in Kentucky. I am also prior service and own firearms.
If Jesus was the Mosiach, then I would have been born and CURRENTLY live in Israel, and there would not be firearms, since all weapons of war would not exist.
1+1=2
And I find it highly insulting that you want to argue to someone of Jewish belief that Jewish prophecies are incorrect and that Jewish peoples are "reading them wrong".
FYI, they are OUR words, we should know them MUCH better than someone not of our faith.
This is an untrue statement. By this you are saying that even a Jewish child should know more of the scripture than a schollar of a different faith, but who has studied the Jewish faith, all because the child is Jewish. No, rather anyone can study the Jewish religion or the Torah and have an understanding. One need not be Jewish to have clear understanding. The opposite is true as well, just being a Jew does not give one clear understanding of the Torah.
I realize that there is an interconnectedness in the history of the Christian faith and Judaism and I'm certainly no expert on the subject. From the Christian perspective the Bible clearly states that the Jews are the chosen people and Jesus himself is said to be a Jew. What seems perplexing to me is that the main religion of the Jews in the world is Judaism which of course has it's own set of beliefs and doesn't accept Jesus as the messiah. My question isn't really about Jusaism, it's about Christianity, and I'm simply wondering why the chosen people according to the Christian faith are the Jews and yet they don't even share the basic beliefs of Christians. This brings up a few questions. Christians believe that only by accepting Christ can an individual be saved. Does this mean that the overwhelming majority of Jews, God's chosen people, will not be saved? Also, doesn't it seem very strange that God's chosen people, according to Christianity, aren't even believers in the Christian faith?
Jews are no better or worse than anyone else. Don't listen to that crap that they are the 'chosen people"
You are spewing hate filled insults at me, because Christianity didn't read Jewish prophecies about a Jewish mosiach correctly?
We made an unbreakable covenant with G-d, and G-d will take care of us for that; it is written.
I have no other words to say to you and your hate and anger.
I have not spewed any hate filled insults at you at all. It is the Old Testament God who made these statements. Do you just filter out those facts? I don't blame you for wanting to distance yourself from those words, but don't blame me. Blame the God of the Old Testament, for He is the one who make those statements.
Yes, the Jewish people are know better, but God chose them, and he called them his chosen people. That does not mean that he loves them better than another race or group. I think that God at the time chose a people for himself to reveal himself, so he could set them apart from other nations. I also think that he wanted a people for himself to live Holy for the example for other people. I am not Jewish, but I see the work that God was doing through them, for us. God will take care of his people, and I mean the people that are his. The people that love him, that worship him, and live for him, not just jewish people but all races that he has called unto himself. If someone has a problem with that, than take it up with YHWH.
they dont accept Jesus because they dont wanna admit they're the ones that crucified him
if it was a myth then why does all off history go along his coming..why do u follow the year and date according to b.c and a.d? why would someone start history and time all over again pretty much just to make up a myth
salvation is at hand for everyone who accepts..the term christianity came after the death...it was still a continuance of jewish faith..so really the christians should be called jews and the jews of today should be called something else because they chose to turn their back on their saviour and we didnt(Christians)
The jews did not crucify anyone. Capital punishment was stoning. Crucifixtion was a Roman punishment...that is, until Hamas legalized it some time last month
Pretty much all of these pro-Christian posts are a joke. You all know absolutely nothing about Judaism!!
Go to www.outreachjudaism.org and click on Read Rabbi Singer Answers your questions. Basically every subject/verse or reason why they think Jews should accept Jesus is refuted here, and only using the Jewish bible and the Christian intentionally mistranslated versions.
I could sit here for hours discussing everything on this forum, but I am too tired. Maybe someday. I think that you can all explore for yourselves for now.
The Jews were the original wife of God and subject to the old testament.
Jesus died to fulfull the LAW of the old testament for the gentiles who are now subject to the new testament
And the religion grew exponentially throughout the region, with people willingly giving their lives because they believed in him after seeing him risen from the dead.
Does anyone doubt that muhammed existed? We think he was a murderous thug, but nobody denies he once walked the earth.
Fact of the matter is, there is more reason to believe in Jesus having existed than Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar.
Wow, that's an interesting slant you have on history there, I take it that, aside from your bible, you don't really read much.
