Five mintues? I'd love to have that commute. Is that walking or driving?

Oh, and to stay on topic. Please pay your rent when it's due.

So would you really care if you were a landlord and you got the rent check on the 7th from a tenant who usually send it on the 1st or 2nd?
Just pay it out of your 9/24 paycheck. If you feel it's too early, post date the check, or hold it til it's time.

there is no question here....

I decided to wait until November to do this since in November my paychecks are scheduled for 11/5 and 11/19 and the first December check is 12/3. So I can have both november checks and pay the december on 12/3

I've never met anyone who has purposely scheduled LATE payments. TVSG brings all new thoughts to this world. Most of which we would be OK without ever knowing...

If your lease says the 1st, then you pay on the 1st. The 2nd is late, even if you don't get a late fee or have a grace period. Pay when it's due, that's a habit you should start NOW.

You're still robbing Peter to pay Paul.

payday-12/3
payday-12/17
payday-12/31
payday- 1/14
payday- 1/28
payday- 2/11
payday- 2/25
payday- 3/11
payday- 3/25
payday- 4/8
payday- 4/22

The above may be off a bit as I was doing it in my head with no calendar, but it should be close. I also assumed you get paid every two weeks and not just twice a month (15th and 30th).

I'm not a math guy but the boost isn't there. You'll still have to pay the rent. A check at the end of the month-the "3rd" check-just means that your next check comes the 14th. You'll pay your rent on the 5th out of the 31st, or you'll wait until the 14th and be late, and be paying your other bills out of it. You're not getting any extra money or an extra check so there's no "BOOST".
