I've done that (couch on awakeni g) .....has worked. Not sure why.

There can be several reasons for the "3am wakeup." Bluelight can be a top contributor. Since I started managing my bluelight exposure I fall asleep easy and wake up with the sun rise. Check out the link. I hope it helps you.

Prostate in middle aged men. Bladder sends signal to brain. Once REM disrupted, hard to return to deep sleep is my theory......get up, watch sports on tv on DVR, get ready for the day. This happens sometimes. Since not working, nothing a nap midday cant resolve.

We are on the exact same path and schedule. Instead of sports I turn on Forensic Files late at night. That seems to work.

There's this ^^^

We night owls should be allowed to work according to our own internal schedule. We should not have to conform to the early bird schedule after all. That's good news. I think what they mean is that we might die younger if we are forced to miss out on sleep and try to adapt to a lark's schedule.

We night owls are up all night working. And that's while the early birds are fast asleep.
