I find them to run hot. If mrs mathjak has hot flashes, I wouldn’t recommend them.
I’m still searching for a good mattress too. Stay away from pillow tops...you can’t flip them over.

LOL, especially with those MyPillows to go with the mattress?

Pillows are another hard thing to buy, to soft to hard. We were going to get the My Pillows, but after reading the reviews, we decided against it

I've been sleeping on air-core mattresses for 12 years now. They work like a sleep number bed, where you can adjust one side harder or softer than the other.

The first one I really loved. We bought 2, one for the guest room. They held up well (currently still have one in the guest room). The second one I kind of hate. (I was happy with the old one, but hubby wanted to upgrade to a king, not available in old brand). It has a fancier control that shows your "number" but just isn't as comfortable.

We stayed at a friend's house on a Tempurpedic; so comfortable! that's our next bed.

just got back from mattress firm . got a nice serta for 1500 bucks . kind of a combo with foam . i tried the memory foam ones which ran 2-3k but they were like laying in a hole .

i asked the guy at the store if we could spend the night in the store and try them .

by the way , i will never let a woman tie me to the bed again .

that jc penny store manager was so pissed when he had to untie me in the morning . lol

I have some serious spinal issues with both my back and neck, and have tried MANY different types of mattresses. Tempurpedic mattresses don't work for me. They give me the "hammock" feeling that waterbeds do, IE: "feel like they give NO support" and screw me up major.

NO inner spring type mattress works for me either. The only mattress that does work, is the "Sleep Number" air mattress. The one I have now, has a 2" layer of memory foam on top and is king sized. Unless some other revolutionary mattress comes out of nowhere, a Sleep Number is going to stay my favorite.

I had a problem with pillows for years, down made my head sweat so much I would wake up at night with a soaked pillow that I had to turn over, this happened a couple of times each night & the pillow would be pretty damp in the a.m. But worse than that was the headaches I would get from stiff neck & shoulders that I think was caused by my neck's angle on the pillow, it became a real issue after a few years.

What solved both of these issues after trying countless varieties of pillows was using a natural talalay latex pillow, no more headaches.
