So far the Op has created separate threads asking about other people’s Medicare prescription and dental plans as well. No reason given. I would like to know why. It’s not that hard.
Pay in cash and try to negotiate costs. I don't have particularly wonderful teeth, despite doing everything recommended for them. I have had too many procedures go awry to try a dentist out of my local area.

Not true. Mine has covered root canals, implants, other things. Not 100%, of course--I always had to pay something beyond what the insurance allows, and I think my dentist is pricier than most but I've been with him for 20 years, but it's not limited to cleaning, x-rays, and fillings.
That's good insurance. Most of the plans I've seen and from work just covered routine cleanings, some minor procedures. The insurance covers a small part, if at all, and as for implants, forget it.
The AARP Delta Dental plan had a maximum spend of $1500/year. I was paying approximately $70/month. Covered 2 cleanings/year and 1 Xray/year. My dentist always charged above what the insurance paid so I ended up with out of pocket expenses. It did offer a discount on fillings and crowns but just was not worth it in the long run. Starting a "dental" account and using that to help cover costs, work best for me. Everyone has to come up with what works best for them. Some Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) offer good dental care at very affordable prices. Problem is, there are not that many with really good units, but the ones that have them do provide great care at affordable prices
You always are able to get out - but only can get back in with a valid passport.
