I go to bed around 8pm and read for a couple hours.
I get up around 5-6 am naturally. If I go to bed at 2am...... I still get up around 6am.

Another thing they say old people do earlier and earlier.
Being unemployed right now I stay up pretty late. Working I was in bed by 10 PM but now I'm sometimes up till 12-1 AM. And sometimes it depends on whether I've had a nap that day. My naps usually last several hours. Never been a 'power nap' person. Yesterday I managed to 'sleep in' till nearly 7 AM...unheard of for me!...then a 2 1/2 hour nap and still in bed by 10:30! Not really a 'normal' day these days.

At 66 I go to bed between 9 and 9:30 during the week, 10-10:30 on Friday and Saturday. Since I get up at 4am to go to work, starting at 6am. Bed by 9:30 gets me 6.5 hours which is my comfortable minimum. Even on the weekends I'm up by 5:30-6:00, and rarely sleep more than 7-7.5 hours.
I said "get into bed" because I thought that perhaps many people would go to bed and watch TV or read or whatever - didn't say "what time to you go to sleep for the night . . . "
But maybe most people do "stay up" in another room and then just go to bed to sleep.
I go to bed around 1-2 am but fuss around on my phone and then listen to the radio. I keep the radio on all night long. Have always been a night person and haven't been able to change that.
In bed by 9:30, up by 4:15 every day. Even though I am retired, I have been doing it for so many years, no matter what time I go to bed, somewhere just after 4 am, I wake up and can't go back to sleep. 6 1/2 hours of sleep are good for me.
It is nice being up that early as I go to the gym, and usually have the place to myself.
