Thinking about this a little while ago and for me:

No more bosses to tell me " how high to jump".... no more control.

And also for me, only husband left over 40 yrs ago and no more control there either.

And aging continues, but I'm doing a lot to control that and keep healthy, but the years keep going and at least that's good, it's good to be alive and "in control" of oneself.

There is more I can add but maybe others may want to comment.

Ha! I get paid three times a month. It'll be four times in September, the only month remaining where I get four.

Ha! Got that beat! Between my wife and I, we get 5 separate "paychecks" paid on 4 separate days throughout the month. Starting in January 2022, it will be 6 direct deposits (3 for each of us) paid on 5 separate days each month. At least until January 2032.

Guess we get five here. Sometimes a couple more depending on how often I bill the employer for my editing gig.
