Hope you start including wind speeds, chim. It'll help you show a fuller picture ;p (dew point wouldn't hurt either)
Going to be windy out here in fresno these next 7 days, less so in sacto. At least ya are getting some wind this year unlike last year. Delta waft? ;p

I also think we should include Redding temps for comparison. It's the exact same distance from Sacramento as Fresno, and in the Sacramento Valley to boot, but it actually tends to average hotter than Fresno. It really underscores Sacramento's favorable position within the entire Central Valley.

Here it is: June 19, 2019, 6:30PM

Fun trivia: Ever notice how far West NorCal is compared to San Joaquin Vly and SoCal.

As you go north, California's Coast and Inland areas move West. Redding is as far West as the San Francisco Bay, and further West than Oakland! Reno is further West than Fresno and much further West than San Diego!

But, but, San Diego is on the coast and Reno is over 200 miles from the Ocean.

If you fly dew south from Sacramento down to LA in a straight line, you end up 100 miles West of the LA coast, in the middle of the ocean!

Sacramento June 2019

High Temp:

80 to 89 = 14 days
90 to 94 = 7 days
95 to 99 = 5 days
100's = 4 days, but 2 of those days the heat index temp was below 100.

Low Temp:

50 to 59 = 17 days
60 to 63 = 13 days

Wow, that sounds sooo nice. Summer without being excessive. By comparison, I had 22 days in the 70s (11 of which were in the low 70s), 7 days in the 80s, and 1 day in the 90s. However, only 3 nights in the 50s and 27 in the 60s, as our water temps are getting much warmer now (upper 60s). But June was very cloudy, and the daytime not sufficient to warm the pool enough for swimming.

San Diego has the best weather- Sacramento not so much unless you like super cool winter and super hot summers!

It's my favorite climate too, as long as you're not right at the coast. Too cool and overcast too often. But out here in Scripps Ranch this Fourth of July, we've got 77° for the high and 60 for the low. Nice coastal breezes. No need for AC but still warm out. Just perfect.

Now I will say my parents have been reporting similarly spectacular weather out in Walnut Creek, with low 80s for the high and upper 50s for the low. Miild summer this year.
