95% of every medium to large metro is going to have hotter and more uncomfortable temperatures than Monterey. Pretty lame comparison.

Also, comparing Folsom to Monterey-which has some of the best air quality in the nation, and ignoring that 95% of the country's metros are going to have worse air quality than Monterey is pretty unfair comparison as well.

Florida and Texas don't even have places comparable to the cool air of Monterey, so no comparisons are made. Only Sacramento gets that kind of comparison and judgement, lame as well.

And ignoring A.M temperatures from 6 am to Noon is pretty lame too.
We have disagreed on this before. I have pointed out the myriad of microclimates that exist in some fasion in most states in the U.S., and the fact that most of this is a matter of preference. I just think you have a very high burden of proof when you assert anything is better than 95% of its relative comparables. It is hard to believe that our COL would be as low as it is relative to the median income (here) if our weather were truly that great. Ironically, I believe the weather and air quality is one of the factors that drives our COL down and makes the valley affordable for average working class people.

I am going to jog now!

Enjoy your day .

EDH/Folsom 100 - and WE still have the highest temp
Yeah, like 2 AM. I ended up staying in Friday because I had to get stuff ready for tonight, which will be a late night of adventure downtown--don't plan on getting home until about 3 AM--but will probably take a disco nap through the hottest part of the day.

AND...the suburbs of Sacramento are very comparable with Fresno. Overall, the difference is very small.
I'm comparing the City of Sacramento to the City of Fresno.

When comparing SF to Stockton, would you say... well the differences are really small? (Since Walnut Creek can be hot?)

But Walnut Creek is only 20 miles away, so it must be the same About the same distance of Sac to Folsom (20 miles)

Well, maybe 95% is little bit high. But, the premise of my thread is that Sacramento weather is much much better than some folks care to admit.

We over-exaggerate 5 to 7 days of high heat in a summer month, and completely ignore or downplay the 15-25 days of comfortable to cool weather in any summer month.

June 2014:

Sacramento had 25 days with high temps in the 70's and 80's.

Sacramento had 30 days with low temps in the 50's and low 60's.

On to our workouts - Indoors!!

Cheers

Sacramento fudging our numbers as usual.Lol

Why would you include heat index for only Fresno?

Why would you add that heat index to the actual temp?

You either have a serious infatuation with Fresno or you're one of those fairy-tale creatures who guard bridges. Forgot what they called em.

You say that like its a good thing. I'd rather it be 64 in the morning than 58. Being cooler is not necessarily better. Being closer to ideal temps is better. Anything between 68 and 78 degrees is perfect, IMO. That's why LA weather is considered good.
