I wonder what it is like right now for anyone that has plans to move to the area. Someone facing a job transfer or for whatever reason. Especially someone or their family member already has asthma problems. I can't imagine them continuing with their plans.

I think if I lived there and found that the politicians, and general population, was complacent to all of this. Which is all to common in the USA to begin with. Beyond certain issues that is. Although to be honest I would have expected more push, from Salt Lake City's population on this particular issue. Then I'd say what probably some others that live there right now are saying. Or considering. I'm out of here. With such a serious recurring problem. That is no way to live.

My stance on living here just in say 2 years has significantly changed. I've gone from being somewhat tolerant to the issues that face Utah to where if and when it becomes physically possible I am as you say "outta here". The governor may be selling how great this place is to the masses but I know better. Anyone that loves this ongoing toxic soup along with the increase in insane drivers and growing taxes needs a little examination. Sorry at this point my glass is more than half empty, and it's getting emptied out more daily

Seems like quite a bit of local reporting on this. Does this happen every year, or has coverage of this picked up?

It was awesome today! However, the Governor was in New York. We will see....I hope this is the beginning of some serious change!

Did you notice how the news said "It had the ability to get out of control." What a joke to portray this in such a way. An angry mob...who knows what could have happened.

I love seeing the passion there though.

The petition demands that Governor Herbert lower the speed limit to 50 MPH?!? Are you kidding me? Most Utahns don't go the speed limit at 65! Who in the world is going to be on Interstate 15 in free flowing traffic going 50? Require more stringent emissions standards like California for vehicles and factories, issue a winter long burn ban, and move on with it.

Agree with "What???" Simple things that are not hard to do/enforce is a start that won't rock to many boats.
