Sorry..butting in...I went to CA a couple of years ago and had In & Out burger for the first time. I had to stop twice in a matter of hours to eat there, I loved the burgers and the fries. The fries reminded me of making homemade fries when I was little. I would be all for an In & Out in SA!

My husband would eat Whataburger every day. Me-I would never eat it again and be just fine with that. However, I don't mind the Whatachicken, it is actually pretty good.

Gotta butt in here again. I grew up in Phx, and we had Whataburger there. I still remember the first time I was able to eat 2! Felt like I had grown up! Now, however, I hate Whataburger!!! Gag!!!! They're always cold, seem undercooked, gross tasting, YUK, and expensive!! And it has nothing to do with the fact that I no longer eat meat. If In & Out were nearby, I'd eat a burger from there!! The other night, the family wanted Whataburger. I gave in and "flew" for it (tho I didn't eat it). Everybody got sick that night/next day. Case closed, no more WB for us! (Besides, I can't stand their stinkin' commercials!)

As InAndOut is a wholly family-owned venture, I don't see it expanding much past their Vegas location anytime soon. They're doing well without feeling the need to franchise out and bastardize the process...

That being said, I love their burger
