just saying they are not original thats all. They should be innovative or work on customer service because both of those areas are lacking.

This thread is almost a month old, but I still feel compelled to reply to it. I for one am not a fan of HEB. Back in the Albertson's days, as well as a few other stores, HEB was ok, I still preferred Albertsons (due to better customer service) but HEB's was not far behind in that service department. However, since they are now basically a monopoly in SA (other than Wallys World, Target, and the one Fiesta Store in SA), there customer service has taken a complete nose dive, and the prices of their food is no longer a savings.
There used to be a time when you went in, and there was enough cashiers open, and at least half of the registers had a bag boy/girl. Now you be lucky to have half the registers open with a packed store, and only 2 - 3 baggers. You would figure HEB being home to SA they would take care of their own (San Antonians), with more job openings, better pay, and way better customer service.

Ever go into Target - they have 50 registers and only two to three open.

Interestingly, HEB is changing the labeling of some of its Central Market Organics to HEB Organics.

Trying to down scale them or kill the Central Market concept?

I couldn't disagree more with this post. When I went to HEB on 281/Evans on Superbowl Sunday they had every single register open, all 28 registers. When I shop at the Alon Market, they have a good number of cashiers open daily. Now Target on the other hand drives me nuts; they ALWAYS have 3 or so registers open. And some of the registers they use as storage to stack boxes on. I have not seen that happen at HEB.
As far as food savings, I'd like to know where you shop at that has cheaper prices. And the customer service is subjective opinion.

It's because HEB doesn't actually own the name 'Central Market' and they pay a pretty penny to license it from the company who does.

Central Market is indeed going away... This name change is just the beginning.

From central market's website. Looks like they own the name and logo.

I noticed it, and I am worried, that like with everything else, the "new" HEB organic products (formerly Central Market) will not be of the same quality, but the prices will remain the same...

It says Central Market... Nowhere does it mention HEB. Even if they're run as two separate companies, they could very well still be quietly paying for the name 'Central Market.' Nothing on that site negates that.

This is info I'm getting from inside of HEB corp, so you can choose to believe it or not

Either way, I'm just passing it along... And will continue to do so.

Central Market is a division of H-E-B. They don't have to pay for use of the name...

There is more than one La Fiesta in town.
