Any help would be great.

I see that there is an art school where I hope to take some classes, but I'm wondering if a local college or school district might have a variety of different types of classes to check out.

Vernors ginger ale is the best and now owned by Snapple, and I would love to find out where it can be found here.

If there is a deli, meat market or grocery store who sells gyro meat that would be wonderful!

TIA!

HEB sells cans of Vernor's Ginger Ale, both the regular and diet. I've seen it at the Vineyard and Alon stores.

I have some diet in the fridge right now. My son refers to it as the "chokey" brand of ginger ale. If you've drunk it while inhaling, you know why.

This may be helpful for some of the classes you're looking for: https://communityed.neisd.net/ComEdW...t/default.aspx Mrs. Bo has taken a couple of one-day classes there and enjoyed them.

I took a software class at http://www.alamo.edu/sac/continuing-education/ and found it to be fairly rigorous.

Thank you! I'm a Michigander and I know exactly what your son means about 'chokey'. LOL

Thanks for the link to the classes. There are a couple that look interesting!

+1 on the gyro meat. I've tried to make my own but it never comes out right. Demos charges something crazy like $28/lb for cooked gyro meat.

Holy cow I never knew...been here in TX since 98. Originally from MI.

Could you be a bit more detailed about this, I'm not sure where those HEBs are: "Vineyard and Alon stores"

Thanks.

Well, if we can't find gyro meat here, apparently, this place in Austin sells it. http://www.phoeniciabakery.com
