In short yes!

The field was beautiful coming down 1604 from the north. A portion of it was lower so you would see fog form in the mornings.

Stone Oak isn't even Stone Oak. Stone Oak is a lot smaller than the area residents call "Stone Oak." The Lifetime isn't in Stone Oak, neither is the Village at Stone Oak, ironically.

And Alamo Ranch began development in the last 8 years. Stone Oak (the actual Stone Oak) began development in the early 80s.

Its had an over 20 year head start.

P.S.

You do know Alamo Ranch was recently named the 7th busiest master-planned community in the country. In 2012, it was ranked the 4th busiest master-planned community in the country.

Alamo Ranch will never be the next Stone Oak; I laugh when I hear this. So many people bought into it, though. Not with pawn shops, trailer parks near-by, and apartments popping up. You won't attract the same level of businesses.
By the way, where is the theatre that was promised to begin in May? They did the same thing over at Potranco...promised it "was coming" for years. Maybe they are looking for funding.

First off, there isn't a pawn shop in Alamo Ranch. Big deal if there were one. There are pawn shops in Beverly Hills.

Second, that trailer park, across Culebra from AR, has even there for 25 plus years.

Lastly, Santikos finances their own developments.

There are also apartments in Stone Oak and there isnt a theatre in Stone Oak unless I"m missing something.

Also there are no HEB's really in Stone Oak, unless you want to count the one at 281/Evans.

Alamo Ranch the ACTUAL Alamo Ranch is just as nice as Stone Oak. Alamo Ranch Market Place is a nice suburban shopping center. Stone Oak has more high end shopping and high end developments but like teenwolf pointed out its older and more established and that takes time. Alamo Ranch 5 years ago was NOTHING.
