Yeah, he is from the Philippines and he sounds almost better than Steve Perry.

Default Random Thought

So, I finally caught a clip of Susan Boyle while listening to AOL Radio on my iPhone today. What's the big deal? Her voice isn't that great and sounds HIGHLY untrained...

Also: Anyone who has the balls to cover 'Wild Horses' and ruin it (as Boyle did on her debut album) deserves water-boarding.

I think it had more to do with the contrast of her looks and how she carried herself and the voice that came out. Did you watch the original video? All the people rolling their eyes at her and dismissing her before she even opened her mouth.

Yeah. It was a marketable story. The producers of that show knew she'd catch on with the 'regular folk' and that BOYLEMANIA! would catch on. She's like a new version of The Beatles... Only frumpy, old and she doesn't write her own stuff. *grin*

Bottom line: As long as she sells, we'll be seeing a lot more of her. I worry she's not mentally prepped for this kind of exposure, but the $10 million paycheck for this last album should get her an excellent psychiatrist.

Not working for me from Roadrunner, either. Probably a routing issue or a fiber-optic cable near a datacenter came out on the losing end of a battle with its mortal enemy, the backhoe.

http://alamo.edu is working
