San Antonio should get a NFL team
Seriously, its a big city and could draw in crowds from South Texas and Central Texas. Especially if the team had a spanish sounding name. In fact it could take away a large chunk of the cowboys fan base.

I would definitely get more interested in football if SA got a team. Gunslingers would be a good name to revive.

Negative on the S.A. team. The majority of San Antonians have been Cowboy fans since birth, so why try and change our traditional NFL team of 5 decades. SPURS is what we have, and all we need.

^^ Because not everyone is a Cowboys fan. Because new traditions can be created.
You get a team here, you'll see how quickly the fan base builds.

Although many of you would like to have a San Antonio NFL team, it is very unlikely due to reality. The Cowboys have owned many fans in San Antonio for years. With this said if you remember back before the Panthers and Jaguars actually became the last expansion teams. S.A. was one of the nominated cities for such teams, but $$$$ is the deciding factor and although new fans will be born to a S.A. NFL team, the majority will just be a transfer of huge Cowboys fans in San Antonio to a new S.A.team, therefore the NFL not making a bigger amount of money that it is making through san Antonio already through dallas Cowboys.

The OP made reference to a spanish sounding name. I said no thank you.
Too much stuff in SA is already geared towards the Spanish/Latin/Hispanic/Whatever you want to call it sector, things that are representative of the entree city and metro area shouldn't be geared to one race, especially a pro sports team.

How does the NFL lose money if SA is given a team?
Fans of the cowboys will either remain cowboy fans or switch to the SA team.
Fans of any other teams will either remain fans of those teams or switch to the SA team.
General fans of the NFL will either remain general fans or switch to SA. People who don't care or watch the NFL will either remain that way or become fans of the SA team.
The NFL won't lose money if a team is in SA. They'll increase revenue actually.
