Giovanni's Restaurant on the west side. It's on Brazos at Guadelupe St. It's a little hole in the wall that looks very Mexican but is all Italian. The owner is from New York and is very Italian and makes everything fresh. It's a great surprise how great it is in the middle of the barrio.

OMG Your so right.. it's righ behind the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center little green place. One of my best friends from High School's Dad owned that place.... He (my friend Adam) looked like Shaggy from Scooby Doo

Oh yes, I must agree. Also, Malt House Cafe, either location. Tejas Cafe on O'Connor. China Latina off Hot Wells somewhere--a friend from my old job used to take me there at lunchtime. Giovannis...does anyone know if this is the same as the Giovanni's Pizza that used to be located at North Star Mall? It was back in the early 80's when the food court was downstairs on the other side. The pizza was great, but not like the typical NY style that is in most malls. It was a lot more flavorful.
