Come on share…. What's your favorite dive, hole in the wall, Mom and Pop:

1 Eateries
2 Bars
3 Sodie shop
4 little know park/favorite spot.

No franchises, no mega chains, just what makes San Antonio the best place for "fill in the blank"

Come on tell us what only the locals and native born SA's know

Ok I'll start, we've only been here in SA for a short 8 years so I'm sure I'll miss a few of someone's favorites:

1 Eateries:
Brionna's (sp? Gen Mc Mullen just outside Kelly USA, Tortilla soup), Lulu's Dinner (35 and Main, huge portions including cinnamon buns the size of a small wedding cake!) Fatty's burgers (commerce just east of down town, yum), The Cove (new to us thanks to CDF, great fresh food including fish taco's place for the kids to play, live music and a bar), Green (all veggie and the time), Josephine Street steak house (big tree grew right through the dinning room, great steaks made out bake on a grill like they should be), Liberty Bar (great food, and hey it's were Tommy Lee Jones hangs out). Alamo Draft House (it's a Movie theater! It's a Bar! It's a restaurant what more do you need).
2 Bars:
Drink (wine and Coffee bar down town), Leaping Lizards (down town little place great prices)
3 Sodie shop:
One by the house I'll have to owe you the name
4 little know park/favorite spot.
Duck park (just south of Marbach on Ellison), Poteet Winery (little tiny winery, they make strawberry wine, Mustang grape wine etc. open to public)

Every place inside of 410 is a dive/hole in the wall, and I like them all equally.

restaurant: Taqueria Huentitan on the west side. Best salsa around, and very cheap. Brush up on your Spanish.

Carmen's (or Carmelito's) Pizza. Located on West Avenue inside 410, just past the railroad tracks.
