Man, I feel LIBERATED tonite!!!

I went to the new Super Suppers at the Culebra and 1604 little shopping center across from the Walmart. What a FANTASTIC IDEA!!!!

I am thrilled that I got to prepare 12 dinners in 1 1/2 hours with NO additives, NO preservatives and with the cooking instructions attached. We had the Veggie Lasagna for dinner tonite....Yummmmmmy!

Now, instead of wondering where I am going to stop and grab something on the way home, or eating out tooooo often, or even wondering what I am going to fix for dinner, I just pull one out of the freezer the night before and pop it into the oven for about an hour and good to go!!! I can even walk the dog or exercise while it is cooking. Man, what a working womans DREAM come true!!!!! It also is a great solution for me, the one who can stop by HEB for milk and eggs and walk out $130 later....not that anyone else does that, right???

The poor Domino's Pizza at the corner of Potranco will probably have to lay off a staff member or two now that I have discovered a place to get good, balanced meals to make once every 2 weeks or so.

Has anyone else discovered these wonderful places yet????

I'd heard about them, but I'm excited that there's one so close to us now. Looks like the far NW side is becoming quite an up and coming place. I've always been jealous that the north central side seems to get all of these cool places, like they're the only part of town that deserves them. Now we have a unique restaurant (Tiago's) AND a super suppers. Hooray for the far NW!

Paka! You shoulda told me you were doing that!! I would've done it with you!!! They're right next to my office and I thought it sounded like a fabulous concept! I actually used to do this same type thing on my own... would prepare 30 days worth of dinners at one time. That was exhausting, 'cause I'd do 30 different meals (no repeats) and since we did all the shopping/prep/etc. it would usually take two whole days. But it sure was nice to not have to cook dinner for a month!! I did it before the birth of 3 of my kids, sure made that first month with a newborn easier! I hope Super Suppers does well, it's a great idea!!

I'm moving to SA in two weeks (so excited) from CA. I love meal assembly places. In fact, it'll be my first stop once we get to town..fill the freezer while we're moving in.

How much did Super Suppers run for 12 meals? It is between $175-200 here. So worth it though. I keep them in the freezer for nights when the kids have drained me and DH is on his way home from work. Are there any other meal assembly companies in SA that you know of. Any in the Stone Oak area? We have Dream Dinners, Dinners Ready, and Sous Kitchen here in addition to Super Suppers. Sous Kitchen is my favorite, but it all depends on your taste in food.
