I'm not even sure the cost is the issue. I think the issue is the need for a toll road at those locations. And the fact that 281 was already funded for improvement.

They are obviously going to be short toll roads, not like the new one in Austin which was to be a toll road from the git go. The other issue is that it's being crammed down people's throats by some elected and some not elected officials. I may be wrong on this tho......

Yeah! There are many folks that hate paying school taxes when they don't have kids. Can I get that money back and put it towards the toll roads?

Without schools, you'd have all those illiterate little demons from the neighborhood bothering you instead of their teachers......but school taxes are not part of this thread.....

Hey, taxes are taxes. So I guess they are. If everyone can complain about their taxes "being used for the roads", I can complain about school taxes for kids I don't have.

I don't think the argument is taxes being used for roads. It's about tax money already collected and not used for the improvements they were supposed to be used for. And then, oops, we need a toll road......

Well I can tell you one thing ...if you think that having toll roads on 281 will just affect mostly Stone Oakers-- don't breathe a sigh of relief just yet- This has now set a presedent that may affect every congested road in San Antonio!

The last time he went up for re-election, I didn't even know about it until the day after the election while reading the paper.
Early voting is going on NOW...I couldn't tell you one thing on the ballot as of right now.
