AADAD - welcome to SoCal's big Dark Secret! May Grey/June Gloom aka Coastal Eddy. Makes these months more like a New England Fall than what you would typically associate with SoCal weather. It's basically the price we pay for our otherwise phenomenal weather - particularly the lack of humidity. And it keeps temps from becoming TOO hot later in the summer. Your A/C bill will thank you.

P.S. it USUALLY burns off by about noon (depending on how far you are from the coast) but this one is very thick - 4,000 feet, I heard on the news - so not likely to burn off all day.

The sun is peeking through downtown. It's definitely mostly cloudy but the sun does poke through from time to time.

POWAY is still grey @ 3pm? DEFINITELY a thick one today.

I confirm Tony's report of a little sun in downtown . . . glinting off the Convention Center roof . . . but still mostly grey . . . .

Life is hell . . . but we'll get by.

Such a small small price to pay I'd agree
