^^^This.

San Diego is growing out towards Ramona. I would expect Ramona Airport might very well get busier as that happens.

Do you know if they have shippers(UPS, FEDEX) leaving from the Ramona Airport???
They have several small hangars, but I think those are mostly for private rental.

If they have shippers or any kind of meaningful cargo, it is not noticeable, at least to me.

Give them a call: (760) 788-3366.

Also, their web site seems to indicate that they are not open at night.

BTW, the picture that I posted yesterday is from Highland Valley Rd., about a mile from the air strip.

Does a railroad go through Ramona inland? Without that I think transportation issues on the 67 would be a major concern.

Maybe I've seen you out on the road. Been riding that route for years. I like to take Highland Valley Rd. back to RB or Escondido, then Poway.

That's not a good location for an airport that services large aircraft. It is almost surrounded by hills and mountains.

In fact, every so many years small planes crash into Iron Mountain or Mt. Woodson.

Probably, purple Trek time trial bike. I cut across by that golf course and hit Highland Valley back into the cross road.

Got to be careful biking Highland Valley. Lots of tight turns with blind spots.

One time I encountered a driver racing a car around the curves like it was Grand Theft Auto, Ramona Edition. Good thing it was going the opposite direction. No way it could have slowed down to avoid a cyclist.

Also, the 67 is one of the most dangerous stretches of road in San Diego. I take Scripps Poway Parkway up to it -- which is a very good workout.

I'll keep a lookout on the road for a purple Trek bike. I typically wear a solid blue biking shirt and my bike has yellow reflector stickers on the sides.

Yep, I take palomar to SPP to the 67. I make sure I'm over by 10 before the drunks heading to the casinos are on the road. 67 is safe compared to the 78 shooting out the other side
