Any thoughts on how San Diego's climate will affect COVID-19 going forward? Viruses typically like cool dry climates and dislike warm humid climates.

Where I live in San Diego at the very least, winters are cool but humid and summers are warm but dry. What part of our year is more conducive to a virus than others?

That's been a huge problem on all of this. The Rich and famous seem to have no Problem getting tested, and then posting on Facebook/Instagram for sympathy.
If me or you walks into our doctors office, unless we exhibiting all symptoms we would turn away.

I just signed up at Vons for online shopping and delivery--and they don't have delivery available for all of next week. They offer a service, and then they can't deliver? What use is that?

It's because they're overloaded with orders. Although I've heard that if you check online after midnight, you have better luck getting an appointment for delivery.

The same goes for Amazon and Costco. No available delivery dates.

A lot of restaurants have turned into online grocery stores, some with pickup, some with delivery.

I will try that, thanks. But it looks as if our darkest cyberpunk visions might come true. Take your life in your hands if you want to leave your house to forage...Hard to believe that it has come to that.

We did a lot of sensible shopping two weeks ago, but we're running low now. Ralph's seems to offer delivery, but their grocery list is pitifully short.

PS Ralph's doesn't have any delivery dates available, either.

Dont act as if it makes a big difference. If youre sick enough to show symptoms and ask for a test, it should be easy enough to compare your symptoms with those typical of the virus. Then its up to you to self quarantine and protect family and friends, at least those you havent infected yet.
People are making a bigger deal out of testing than it should be. Maybe its because theyre looking for someone to blame besides themselves and their own initial denial when they infected others.
As for the famous what would you expect but attention seeking? Its their nature.

Tests...tests tests tests. So you get tested and then it comes back negative in 2-3 days and you go to the grocery store and walk along the beach with others- should you get tested again???

Can anyone confirm that people in La Jolla are getting tested at a higher rate than people in San Ysidro?

Test or no test- This will spread in areas where people don’t like to practice social distancing (like NYC)or ignore it and can’t be bothered by it.

We need to Stay away from people- many folks are off work or working remotely - relax and enjoy not getting into your car and sitting at a desk for 8-9 hours a day. Plain and simple just bank on the fact that you will not be tested. Stop going to the grocery stores daily looking for a couple items or hoarding other items. Wear PPE and wash hands.

Why would people in San Ysidro have significantly fewer cases?

Rich people have higher access to resources. In states like New York and Louisiana, the poorer neighborhoods have been hit the hardest. It makes no sense that San Diego would be the opposite of that.
