I am visting Sarasota in April to look at rentals for an upcoming move to the area (hopefully mid to late summer). I have researched some online, but want to get advice/opinions. I need a two bedroom that allows a small dog and a cat, hopefully under $800/month. I am considering Gulf Gate and Huntington. I am very open to the downtown area. I would love a house or a condo but don't know I could rent anything for that price. Are there rental companies or realtors who I should be talking to? Other apartment complexes I should be considering? Any reviews of Huntington and Gulf Gate would be appreciated. Safety and cleanliness are priorities. I look at this forum everyday and love all the input and advice people have given. Thanks much!

I don't handle rentals myself, but you might try Stinger Management. They've been around Sarasota a loooong time. Their web site is:
Stringer Management

You may have difficulty renting with 2 pets as a lot of the apartment complexes, if they allow pets, limit it to 1 per unit. A lot of condos that allow rentals do not allow tenants to have pets. You might have better luck finding a small house to rent as landlords for house rentals may be more flexible about having 2 pets.
