So, let's see..

Downtown 97
Wilmington 95
Tybee 91

Seems about right, wouldn't you say?

Bonus points: I would venture to guess Statesboro could go as high as 101.
We didn't. We're just dropped from 98 to 97 degrees. The day isn't over yet, but 4 PM is typically when the high temp is set.

Still, it was only 2 degrees off forecast, which is negligible. It was downright HOT today!

I'm pretty surprised at how good the heat felt today. Not that I ran laps or anything, but I think I've done acclimated, after 4 years here. The humidity must be fairly low, because I hardly broke a sweat walking to the car at Publix.

Relative humidity is currently 39% downtown. That's really low for these here parts this here time of year.

The official station, KSAV, is reporting 40% humidity with a dew point of 69. Wow. That isn't bad at ALL for this time of year. Current temp is 97 though. Ouch.

Hartsfield-Jackson is at 91 with 48% humidity and 69 degree dew point as well. So much for the elevation reducing the dew point today.

62 this morning in Statesboro. I think Savannah dropped to 66. Nice to see sub-70 degree mornings this early, though it's supposed to get hot again this weekend. I'm pretty amazed we're seeing this kind of variability in August. Our summers tend to have the same weather every day. Not this month!

We had the windows open last night, and the AC didn't kick on until about 11:00 am, heavenly.

This weather is truly fantastic. If last weekend was the worst we have all summer, then this summer will have been a nice on indeed.

I really enjoyed Monday here in Statesboro. When I stepped outside leaving for school it was so pleasant with a really nice breeze. I had a nice breeze, on my walk, all the way to campus. So pleasant. Was shocked at how comfortable it felt. Felt nice tonight as well on my bike ride back to my apt. I love when the humidity is lower. Makes it feel more pleasant.

It was so nice all week. Now that the holiday weekend is here, it's back hot and humid.
