Much cooler here today, too. In fact, it is very cloudy and "smells" a little of rain.

We are, apparently, past our heat wave. The forecast for this next week is for much cooler temperatures; for a couple of days, the forecast is for below normal temperatures.

One weather dude hinted at the possibility of rain next weekend.

I honestly can't wait. What a good reminder of what a hot summer feels like. Blech.

I didn't care for the heat either. For about 2 days straight last week it honestly felt like I was back home in Phoenix. Oh well. At least we know it's very short-lived here.

I am moving to that area in 2 weeks.Suffering thru Fl heat and humidity, now in to the 3rd month of 90s.Packing in the heat is horrendous . I am so looking forward to being able to wear my blue jeans again. The home I am moving to has a/c and my son and grandkids spent the past two days there because their townhouse does not have it.

Trying to remember. The Evergreen State. Is that about pine forests or about lush vegetation. In any case, learn to love the rain. That's why you live in green surroundings and the plains states don't.

Had my first trip to the San Juans today and it was just gorgeous. Cool and misty on the way over and high clouds with some sun breaks most of the day. More sun on the ferry back and got some beautiful shots of the islands in the setting sun and Mt. Baker. What an amazing day. THIS is why I moved here!!
