Hi everyone,

I wanted to thank you all for your tips, suggestions and DM's. *I really learned a lot while visiting these past few days. *I have to say the people were all nice. *No issues there. I even asked a handful of people about the "Seattle freeze". *Most have never heard of it and the ones that did said it was a thing of the past.

The weather was not as bad as I expected for this time of year. *I ran around in a t shirt and jacket most of the time. *When it was a bit colder I added a sweatshirt. *So really no big deal. *It's definitely not sunny SoCal. *But I knew that going in. *Actually it was a bit refreshing to see clouds and actual weather. *It rained a few times. *Sprinkled others. *Overall the grey didn't bother me as it was ever changing.

I also had fun playing the part of a tourist. *I ran around and had such a great time. *Seattle is so alive and exciting! *Beautiful city with all kinds of people.... LOVE IT! *I also did see lots of gay people all over which was refreshing! *No lack of lesbians either...... Hooray for diversity!!!*

As far as places to live... I searched Bellevue, Mercer Island, Kirkland, Woodenville, Sammamsh, Redmond, the Plateu. *I really do love all the areas.... But the WINNER for me is Bellevue. *I found an area called Bridle Trails. *Absolutely amazing. *I even found a house for sale that I will be putting an offer on this week. Woo Hoo! *You all might have to deal with me sooner than later. *But I must say I'd be a good addition to your area. *No lack of confidence here!

I hope once I'm settled I get the opportunity to meet some of you! *You have all been very helpful in making my decisions easier.

Best regards,

David

Did you actually go in to Seattle or just stick that other boring and ordinary area east of the lake?

Yeah for a tourist I was at least expecting to read about a visit to the space needle, aquarium or something but it doesn't read like op came close at all.

Bridle Trails is beautiful! If I had the money I'd live there in a heartbeat.

Bridle Trails really is pretty awesome. Now you'll have to get a horse.

Also conveniently located net to the dump.

Houghton Transfer Station - Facilities - King County Solid Waste Division

Really nice area, easy to cut through (past the dump) to get to 405, close to shopping in Bellevue or Redmond. Watch out for heavy traffic at both ends on Sundays though, with huge churches at either end
of Bridle Trails they actually have to hire traffic control cops.
