Lived only in Texas so far, mostly in Dallas/Houston areas. I've been to Seattle recently for the christmas & new years and so far liked it there. My whole family just emigrated and they have been here in Houston for a year now. Reasons moving to Seattle were for my younger sister thinking of going to UW by starting first in a community college in Bellevue and my father wanting to start a business with a relative in Mt Vernon.

Our prospect home will most likely be renting a house/apartment as a start in Mt. Vernon but still I'm looking for a much closer area near Bellevue like Lynnwood, etc..

Well I looked up traveling using Uhaul 14' truck which will cost around $1300 while towing a car. Travel will most likely be about 36-40hours and that's without stopping. Most of our stuffs are just clothes, electronics and few furnitures.

Do I have better options when moving? Like a train/freights or anything that I don't know of? I just wanted the move to be convenient and if I can save more, the better.
How is Lynnwood area for renting apartment/homes? Any recommended city where commuting in between Mt Vernon and Bellevue would be easy?

You have already found the least expensive way. Container by rail is less than truck, but still much more than U-Haul, and you would still have to get everything from the intermodal yard to the house. There is no easy commute between Mt. Vernon and Bellevue, both directions have major traffic jams, but the center is about Marysville.

Splitting the commute between your father and sister, I would suggest splitting it closer to Bellevue as your sister would bear the brunt of rush hour traffic both directions while your father would enjoy the reverse commute.
