I saw this on reddit. I have no idea if it's accurate or if the presence is significant in any way. (I doubt it's significant.) I personally know nothing about gang activity in Seattle. And it hasn't been updated since 8/2013.

A group of random people who get together could be a gang. I'm pretty sure Seattle has no dangerous gangs

i come from a town in Georgia so small the closest movie theater was an hour away, lol we had gangs.
From what I've seen, considering the size of Seattle, it seems pretty safe when compared to other cities of that size.

Both the Seattle Police and Port of Seattle Police have Gang Units, which would not exist if there were not a problem. Still, it's far less than many other cities, and you hardly ever hear about Seattle gang incidents in the news.

At least they don't ALL call themselves the Bloods and the Crips. It's rather sad when you can't even come up with an original name for your own gang!

I doubt that. But whatever Seattle lacks in gang violence, it seems to make up for in random transient-related attacks. Pioneer Square is a sketchy place regardless of the time of day.

What would Seattle gangs do? Jaywalk? Get into fistfights over the correct pronunciation of "geoduck"?

Any Norwegian gangs up there? Always looking for another hood to practice my craft. Maybe you've seen my tags before?

"Reinsdyrsteik"

Recognize.

A lot of non-verbal hostility. Mean looks. Parking incidents.
