Do you pay cash or use credit card for your shopping and do you try to bargin with stores for a discount when paying cash. I try to use credit card for everything so I can get my credit card points, but I pay my credit card bill in full each month.

I use my credit card for everything so I can get my Walden's books coupons. I pay it off every month. I only pay cash if I get a cash discount.

Credit card only. I don't like to carry cash.
But I do what my dad told me when I left for college - use your credit card for convenience only. Never for credit.

Mainly cash. Big items are charged. We use our Discover card mostly. We get quite a bit back at the end of the year. We always pay it off in full. If there is something big we want and don't have the money at that time to pay it off, we don't get it. The only "debt" we have is our mortgage.

A little of both. I don't generally carry around wads of cash, but if I happen to have cash and the item is cheap, I'll pay cash for it. Otherwise, most things go on a credit card and I pay all these cards off each month.

Credit card only. Easier to track spending, but even more important is the accumulation of points and/or cash back. Although it only makes sense if you're not paying any interest to the credit card company each month...
