Calling that USA squad the B team is a reach. A long reach.

Well, because I think as a team there's more honor to get out of competing with teams like Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, all world-class teams.
Of course I do understand that the players would be tired after having played the Gold Cup, but still...

Yay!! How great is that a thread is open for this!!

Im from Argentina and of course im (and the entire argentina) gonna be watching the copa america! And let me tell you something, Argentina, with the squad they have (including the best player in the world) has ALL THE PRESSURE TO WIN THIS. Me, and everoyne I know are expecting this team to win this.
Yes, we know its not easy (almost all southamerican teams are very hard to beat and then its Brasil that almost always beats us) BUT we are in home soil AND have some of the best players in the world, we have THE best one: Messi, and a dream team of forwards: MESSI, TEVEZ, HIGUAIN, AGUERO!.

So, yeah, basically Argentina is expecting Messi to score 2 goals per match and taking the trophy, if he doesnt wanna get lynched in the Obelisco!

(ok, he wont be getting lynched, but people will be very very dissapointed if argentina does not win and if messi doesnt score!)

Yeah best be careful with your expectations Sophie, messi is not always at his unplayable best with argentina like he is with barcelona, he doesn't seem to play with the same freedom with the national team for some reason

That's because he doesn't have the same key players that pass him the ball in Barcelona.

That's what I am saying lol if Juan Roman Riquilme was still playing every game for Argentina and a top club side, he would be the percent fit to thread messi and co. In his prime he was one of the best passers of a football I have ever seen
