I thought it would be good to start a thread about this. People from all over the world have different views on this so post your views on this. Who do you think is the greatest player of all time. Post video's if you want of the player. Mine personally is Messi. He is the greatest player I have evr seen and is an icon for young kids because he is not a diver and loves to play the game. Here is a video of him scoring over 200 goals for Barca. What a player. He has scored 238 goals for Barca so far but that number will keep rising.

Lio Messi 202 Goals in 12 Minutes - YouTube

Not the best quality but its still good to watch.

Even though I never got to see him play in his prime, it is, and will continue to be Pele. When Messi gets to the point in his career that he has scored 697 career goals and won 3 World Cups, then there can be a discussion.

Don't get me wrong, Messi is an AMAZING player. Once in a lifetime type of skills. But the numbers don't lie and Pele just has the edge.

Tony Sheridan, without a shadow of a doubt.

Messi is young and has 200+ goals, 600+ is well within his reach.

For 3 World Cups, you still have to have a great squad to win that one so I doubt hell get that tally.

Of course Messi can beat Pele's record. As for the world cup thing, I dont judge a player on that. Pele played in a Brazil team that was an amazing team. Messi is playing in an Argentinian side that are good on paper. It is harder to win the world cup today I think. I think Messi is the greatest and he is only 24 years of age.
