Glad to hear that.....Im from Alabama and the COL here is pretty reasonable...Im a country girl that likes to be in arms length of everything the little town has to offer! I have never been out that way before....I need to make a visit!
Be sure and check out Lead too! Its a great small town. It offers good shopping, and very nice people. You can also find places to rent or buy on craigslist.

The Black Hills has Vibes that connects with your soul. My problem is I"m 70 and not capable of moving there and unloading all my stuff (junk). Well you sure don't want to move to Lead. The City Commission just passed an ordanance allowing totally nude dancing right on Main street. So come to the strip capital of South Dakota, where property prices are falling, and we are ripe for increased crime, drugs and all the riff raff that can find it's way here.

oh by the way, the strip capitol of SD is in Lesterville aka.. hooterville to us folks over on this side of the state
Oh please.... How many topless clubs are there? How is it going to cause crime or whatever. I've been in one place... I wasn't impressed but crime and devaluation is a figment of some and frankly a poor argument against such venues.
Lol that's funny, I HIGHLY doubt crime will flourish in Lead. Not enough point for them to do it just because they have topless dancing. Lead is not a big enough town to make LOTS of crime to move there, maybe a couple more DUI's, oh boy, hundreds of those every day in SD, and the US

With a little research one will find that churches have a tendency to have a good amount of crime occur on the premises as well. Unlike the churches the strip clubs will generate revenue to help fund the police station that is about 200 yards from the "club" and right across from the convenience store - Personally I doubt it will cause any more problems than a regular bar (which is what that location has been for years) - probably less than most since you can almost see it from the cop shop plus it will have more security than the bars. I just hope it doesn't scare off other businesses from opening up - On a personal level doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but it's kinda like the smoking ban - if you don't like whats going on inside then don't go in.
