That sounds good. What does kale taste like? I would have most of the ingredients except for the mushrooms, which I do not care much for the texture of mushrooms along with olives and canned green beans. The italian sasusage and potatoes would be great.

Kale is considered a "green," though it's actually a form of cabbage. It is dark green in color, and kind of peppery in flavor. It's used in salads, alond with things like mesculun. It doesn't get really soggy in the broth, so it adds an interesting texture. The mushrooms are just something we throw in because we like them. The actual recipe doesn't call for them! Search "Zuppa Tosacana Olive Garden" and you are likely to come up with several recipes!

Today, there's a batch of chicken noodle soup, on the stove. I made it, with 3 chicken breasts...hubby likes more meat, in soup, than me, so for the two of us, this will make about 3 meals.......I have issues, with down sizing, for only 2 people........

anyone else ever made fried cabbage, with bacon? brown the bacon, & add the shreeded cabbage & onions? I've heard of people adding potatoes, as well............
Watched a ''cooking show'' this morning........I am so trying the fried cabbage with brussell sprouts, (looked yummy, on tv!!)

Pad Thai at Saigon in Rapid City. A good, authentic Vietnamese dish for a great price.
