Congrats to Rory. 15mm. Not too bad of a payday.
To put it in perspective - Jack's earnings from his playing days was less than 6 million...total (not adjusted for inflation).
The Solheim Cup competition was really exciting. The final day singles matches were riveting golf. Europe won the cup on Suzann Pettersen’s final putt of her career.

I was excited to tune in. But then never did - guess the time difference just didn't work out (and evidently, wasn't excited enough to put the effort in). We came in after our round of golf just in time to see her sink that putt. Pretty damn impressive. That said - most of us will still remember her going all Matt Kucher on Alison Lee.
I kind of missed the Solheim Cup. Surprised to see Pettersen retire after the putt but good way to go out.
Silver lining: US Women's team doesn't get to turn down Trump and prove how "woke" they are haha
Did not see him play - but did see a pic of his scorecard, the circles from his #2 to #10 was pretty awesome.
Heard it was customary for him to switch balls after making a birdie. He actually ran out of golf balls and had to recycle one from earlier for his last two holes... and made pars.

Career low for me was a +1 (71) on the cupcake par 70 course I grew up on.
I can't even imagine shooting so low on a PGA caliber course. Actually I can since I was a decent ball striker a decade ago, just wish my daddy would have had me a set of lefties in the garage when I picked up the game.
Looked like the course Chappell did it on wasn't the easiest course around either. He backed it up with a 70-something I believe.

Old White TPC isn't super hard (relatively speaking on tour). But it's understandable to be a bit fatigued after all that excitement. These tournaments in the wrap-around season are usually more "B" level.
Nonetheless, it's still a PGA tournament. I played Avenel right before the Kemper/Booz Allen open back in the early 2000's. That was very much a "B" tournament, and it was still one of the toughest rough and fastest/hardest greens I've played on.
Ryder Cup USA, way to totally screw up the ticket process. A ton of people thought they won the right to buy tickets that they registered over a year ago for then found out they just won a entry into another lottery which they never had a chance to buy tickets. Like me, many others wasted 3 hours trying to get tickets for $185 now they are for sale $500-600 each by a third party organization that is close to the PGA, sounds like an inside job. What a scam, I hope Europe wins.
